FAITHFULNESS IN YOUR SERVING

Sep 6, 2026    Rev. Chonfong Paul Yang

Faithfulness in Your Serving reminds us that Christian service is not about gaining recognition, applause, or approval from people—it is about pleasing God. From 2 Timothy 2:15, we are called to present ourselves to God as faithful and APPROVED workers. From 2 Corinthians 5:9, we are reminded to stay AIMED, making it our ambition to please Christ in everything we do. And from 1 Thessalonians 4:1, we are challenged to keep ADVANCING, growing “more and more” in love, humility, prayer, excellence, and Christlikeness.

APPROVED — Serve for God’s approval.

AIMED — Serve to please Christ.

ADVANCING — Keep growing in faithful service.

Ultimately, we don’t serve FOR His love; we serve FROM His love. Because Jesus faithfully served us and gave Himself for us, we respond by faithfully serving Him.

Don’t serve for the applause of the crowd. Serve for the approval of the King.
