The Fruit of Forward Faith

Jun 28, 2026    Rev. Chonfong Paul Yang

Paul reminds the Galatian believers that the Christian life is not sustained by human effort or religious performance but by walking daily with the Holy Spirit. Although every believer experiences an ongoing struggle between the flesh and the Spirit, God has not called us to fight this battle alone. As we surrender to the Holy Spirit, He produces Christlike character that transforms every area of our lives.

In a world that celebrates instant results, emotional highs, and outward success, God looks for something deeper—the fruit of a life that is steadily growing in Christ. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are the visible evidence that we are moving forward in faith. These qualities are not manufactured by willpower but cultivated by the Holy Spirit as we remain connected to Christ.

Big Idea:

The fruit of forward faith is a transformed life. As we walk with the Holy Spirit, He faithfully produces Christlike character in us over time.
