Moving Forward in Faith

Jan 4, 2026    Rev. Chonfong Paul Yang

We are to see that “Forward” is not merely a yearly theme, but a divine invitation to intentional spiritual movement. Drawing from Philippians 3:13, the message emphasizes that progress in the Christian life requires focus, commitment, and a willingness to release the past. The church advances when its people are spiritually planted, relationally protected, and purposefully engaged in God’s mission.

Membership is presented not as a formality, but as the practical pathway through which individuals grow stronger in faith, families disciple the next generation, and the church collectively moves forward in Gospel mission. When members stop drifting, stop isolating, and stop remaining passive, the church does more than exist—it advances.

Big Idea

The church moves forward when its people are planted in faith, protected in community, and purposeful in mission.
