Step Into The Unknown

Mar 22, 2026    Rev. Chonfong Paul Yang

In Joshua 1:1–9, God calls Joshua to lead Israel into the Promised Land after the death of Moses—a moment filled with uncertainty, transition, and responsibility. As Joshua prepares to step into the unknown, God reminds him of three essential truths: His promises never fail, His presence will never leave, and His Word must guide every step. This passage teaches believers that moving forward in faith does not require having all the answers, but trusting in the God who goes before us. Just as Joshua had to step forward with courage, we too are called to trust God in seasons of uncertainty, relying on His presence and living according to His Word.

Big Idea

“God is with us, His Word is in us, so we can move forward with courage.”
